Hey, just wanted to know if any of you guys n gals use Dashboard Widgets?

If so, what are your favourite ones?

    Mine are:

    ToDo Notepad
    Clipboard
    Wordpress Dash
    Google Adsense Report

Also, anyone made their own widgets?

    Thanks!

I hardly ever use them. Once you have too many in there it starts loading pretty slowly as well...

The SkySports one with footy news is all I ever check...

Only got half a gig on the lappy so tend not to use them as it makes the machine grind to a halt...

I like the calculator though, and the email obsficator(sp?!)...

Most of the widgets I use are for converting one type of data to another type, but like I say I don't tend to use it because I need more ram (Roll on pay day).

A half gig is not so only. I had 8MB on my first Winows95 PC and I could do a lot with that.

I get the impression it loads/renders/etc. every single widget first and only then it starts showing them all at once. That means the 20 or so I have loaded on there take a good 40 seconds to load - especially since most get data from the web, adding another element for delays...

i think its when you play them, so if you play a track that has no album art, its gets them for you, or is that another widget?
