Mac vs Microsoft

I don't like Bill Gates therefore i don't like Microsoft... Maybe when Bill leaves I'll get a Windows. I also see Windows users as snobbish and unfriendly. Sorry, it had to be said.

Processor speeds are very very misleading. Both Apple and Intel spin the numbers in their favour. Bottom line ... it depends on the software you intend to use. Unless the software is optimized to take full advantage of the chipset, you won't get the maximum benefit anyway. Because Adobe developed first on the Apple platform, then ported over to Windows, its software is geared to take full advantage of the dual processors and Macintosh OS. Memory pig applications like Photoshop take everything they can get to run at top speed. On the other hand, Microsoft Office does not. I believe the same is true about many applications on the Windoze side.

Fact is, unless you are doing memory intensive jobs such video editing, high-end audio, or print production with photoshop, all new Macs and PCs will handle anything you throw at them. I just like working with the integrated Mac OS X better.

 

I like Macs for general use. But I'm a gamer and macs don't get the latest releases as fast so I went with windows

I am thinking of launching a website that provides a product that is targeted towards Microsoft windows, but I wanted to know, what percentage of people in the world own an apple mac over a microsoft windows computer.

I heard that about 95% of people use microsoft windows and 5% use mac, is this true?

Ok, but the majority of people (mainly people who are not webmasters etc) use windows, am I right in assuming that?

 

Microsoft is always on the top , It still occupies most of the desktops and laptops

Hmmm... I think 97% people in the world use windows, 1% use Mac, 1% use Linux and other 1% still working on their broken PC.. haha!

Although the Linux has tried their best to break through the monopoly of Microsoft, but I think it still have a long winding journey to go, if they want to replace the Microsoft's recent position...

We are talking about the percentage of people that use them, not how they look, stop trying to run up your post count!

 

If I have a choice between Windows, Mac, or Linux, my first choice will always be Linux, then Mac, and if my brain just quits functioning properly, Windows. Windows may be the most popular, and "Easy to use os" but it is also the most costly, and slowest os around, and that all got worse with Vita. I have never understood how a system that crashes most of the time, and is so easy infected, could ever dominate the computer market, but I guess when someone has billions of dollars to cram a piece of software in every computer made before people buy it, or before anyone can say what they want for an operating system, this kind of thing will happen.
Sorry for my rant!
