I'm setting up a server event to create a mailbox on a cyrus imap server by telnetting to it and issuing the imap commands directly from Mac OSX. It only lists MacSSH and BetterTelnet as options; MacSSH being an OS9 thing, and from what I can see, it's a newer version of BetterTelnet. When I just tell it to use "telnet", it gives me a chance to browse for it, but the Mac gui browser doesn't seem to let you get to the real unix paths underneath. As you might guess, I've only recently started using a Mac, being a unix guy whose been putting up with windoze for a gui desktop until now. Hmmm. I just realized there's no way to specify the telnet port either. I guess I'll just have to do a shell command instead, but since this sort of thing seems like a useful feature, I'll go ahead and post this for comment...
When I try to do the Server action, it pops up a "Choose Application" dialog because it can't find macssh ppc... I don't see any solution to the port problem anyway, so it's probably moot.
