    Neither - HP and Macs both suck because of the whole nvidia chipset issue where it'd overheat too fast.

    Go for a Sony with ATI chipset and be happy :)

    Personally, I like the matte finish on the Vaio screens (Some of them have the matte finish), their screens also look very crisp. You will pay a premium for it though.
