I have a buddy over here and we are throwing his design portfolio online. He uses photoshop on a Mac and when he emails me the JPG (or gives them to me on a flash drive) it will not show in my browsers i can take the same files. open them in Fireworks on my PC and save them as .gif ( .jpg doesn't work this way either) and it will work. anyone ever heard of this.....
The image “http://www.netentropy.com/dave/contact_grey.jpg†cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. this is the message i am getting
I responded to your other thread about this....try a different browser. I've never heard of this...I have no problems with mac-pc jpgs.
Maybe because the image file is in CMYK.. How about converting the color mode to RGB..? There are browsers and applications that do not support JPEG in CMYK. Hope this helps...
I've never really had this problem either (I'm on a Mac)... but there are 2 main ways to save a jpg via Photoshop: 1) Save As>jpeg 2) Save for Web & Devices The 2nd option is much more suited (hence the name) for web graphics, it optimizes the files much better. Not sure which one your friend is using, or if it would even make a difference, could be one of the other problems cited above... but worth a shot! Good luck.
