Looks like hackers like porn and Microsoft, together they give the hacker community the best weapon ever to engage in the theft of data.

Mom always told me not to look at pretty pictures

Maybe your avatar has already been hacked and your 'zombie' OS XP machine is now posting empty, thoughtless 'SPAM AGAINST MICROSOFT, GOOGLE ETC...' posts here at DP without you knowing it.... :)

    PS: I try...

The only thing that is empty is your mind NC, maybe you know more than "Infoworld"?

Why don't you send the publisher an e-mail with your thoughtless comments?

    Ah ha!

I'm right otherwise anthony would have responded...

Anthony's avatar is either Elle or Mimi Macpherson...

    Glad my brother guessed that.

NC are you sure we can not send you to Russia, because guys like you that fall for M$ hype are the Russian mafia's best friends.

Without M$ they could not practice their trade (hacking) as good.

Yes SE, you are right, it is a photo of Elle MacPherson, now you and Minstrel can start downloading JEPG's of her from Google or Yahoo Images.

Just download them on a MAC or Linux box for your own safety.

NC, don't let your wife catch you downloading them on a M$ OS because after you fry all of your network, she will kick you to the curb after you go broke.

You could always make a comeback by authoring a book on "how M$ and my silly dedication to them ruined my marriage", would be a big hit on Oprah and all the other talk shows NC

    Don't flame me, please, but...

Looks like you mean crackers, not hackers! They are two totally different things and should never be confused.

Hackers are in fact people who use their own computer for interesting projects such as programming, etc. just for the fun of it.

Crackers, on the other hand, are what most people usually label (incorrectly) as hackers. Many people also label warez d00dz and lamerz as hackers, even though they are not.

Please, please, please stick to the correct terminology and not give hackers a bad name.

    Thank you.

I don't know what you are talking about, but if you would call Google and tell them the same thing because they are running ads above this thread (look up to the top of the page) that say protect yourself from hackers.

Do you know something they do not?

Welcome to the forum man, why don't you start a thread and educate us on the terms so we do not make the same mistake in the future.

Don't forget to send Larry and Sergey that email, tell them to pull those hacker ads down, they are giving you guys a bad name :D

I can see the thread now, Crackers versus Hackers, could be a big hit, start it up!

GS, don't reply to this. AC is unemplyed and trying to keep his debate skills sharp. Don't get involved. There is nothing here to see...... ;)

PS: AC will respond and somehow turn this into a "NC loves M$ and Google" response

NC, if you were not so off the wall with your posts you would get different responses from me.

You hold yourself up as an expert on computers and I think you are, but when you start showing objectivity and independence folks will take you at your word.

If that is all you are going to do is defend a faulty OS that has more bugs than a Florida swamp, then how can we take you serious?

    Tony, LOVE.

Good to see you're still at it, whatever it might be! Those google ads on your site giving you enough dinero for hand lotion, kleenex and the latest Shakira video?

I can't believe you of all people would be worried about complaints.

Come on, spill the beans. Now's not the time to start worrying about other's feelings.
