Lyric site, how to earn money ?

I have plan to run a lyric site. I'm sure i will have traffic. But i don't know the way to earn money with this kind of site. Does adsence pay good for this content ? Or i must find another way?

I helped a friend of mine set one up a few years ago. I wrote a script that would scrape the lyrics from another popular lyrics site. We set that site up late summer and by Christmas he had received a takedown notice from a law firm demanding the site be taken down as the lyrics were the property of the record company. He complied and never looked back.

But you should try some affiliate company for example those ringing tone sales.

 

I suggest you to create facebook game and put your ads there, and it will give you a huge no of visitors plus income.

What's the law behind it? Is it under copyright law or webmasters could redistribute lyrics for free? I think the web today is flooded by lyrics website and they aren't takin' down.

You can use adbrite or clicksor

 

adsense will probably perform better than adbrite. I'd say use an A/B test.

I think, Facebook.com would be the best option for getting a good traffic as well as earn money.
