Can google penalize you if you lie in your meta description? For example if i have a wallpaper website of cars and the website only has 20 wallpapers, but the meta description says that you have 2,000,000 wallpapers. get what i mean? can you be penalized or banned in google for this?
I don't think the robot would be able to determine that as a lie. Now if you put "cars, pamela anderson, plasma tv" in your meta description for a playstation3 site... the bots would be able to tell it wasn't related to your content. I think you should be fine.
No, maybe your visitors will say, hey! what happen here! but Google doesn't know about it, maybe (this is remote) your visitors can report to Google....
google search igonores the meta tags but if you are using adsense on that page. it's a reason to be banned . shortly , lying is bad bad think. it may hurt you. dont do it
