I recently purchased a VPS with one of my friends. After transferring one of my domains for testing, I made a directory and all the files and other folders in it are not able to be viewed. I made another, and the same problem. I have tried to change the permissions, but that did not help. I need help to make these folders viewable.

If anyone knows an answers, or thinks they do, please post.

    Thank You

You must CHOWN the permissions to the owner via SSH. Google it and you'll find the commands.

From looking through about 10 pages of results, I didn't find anything of much use.

I will keep looking. Does anyone have a good guide?

It could a problem with ownership of the folder. Also check the error logs, probably you will get some more information and also check for .htaccess and make sure that there is no rule t block access.

lxadmin by default uses lighttpd so .htaccess doesnt matter

chown the directory with the users permission
