I made a lot of changes to the site, basically remade the whole thing. Just looking for some opinions and criticism, thanks.

pretty sweet site but one thing is the font for the nav could use tweaking and also the big brown dude on the side creeps me out....his color remind me too much of something!

 

Good site mate, I think that you're going into the right direction. I like the fact that this gamingg site is white, and not black and unreadable like other games sites. Also since you bring gaming news, its probably a good idea to have a subscriber service on top right like feedburner. keep up the good work

 

I would say clean design, good content. you need something more to stand out

@CompleteDesign - The font on the Nav as in what? Too small? Bad colors? Different Font Face? Also, the brown guy is actually dark red, #690000, I dont know if it is your computers graphic card that is causing this misreading of screen colors, or maybe an LCD Screen, but it is not even close to brown on any screen I have ever seen the website on. Maybe it may be me, thanks.

If anyone sees the creature hanging on the site as brown, I would like to know so I can lighten/change the color, brown does not seem like a good one.

@ Chip27 - Thanks I did consider how much easier on the eyes a simple light layout was, I will add a subscribe button to my RSS, good idea, thanks.

Thanks alot drdavisjr, I made the man hanging on thes side because I have never seen a creature hanging on the side of a website I hope it is something that attracts people to the site.

 

While I do agree the creature on the side is a bit creepy, I do have to admit that it is relatively catchy. I would maybe drop the size a little, though, to roughly around 75% of what it's at now. The color scheme for the site flows well, and is easy on the eyes. You have an interesting set-up for the headers for the posts on the news page. For your gaming page, I would almost say eliminate it and create a drop-down menu for the three links (next gen, old school, etc). Then again, who knows what that would do for your SEO.

Nonetheless, good job! Keep up the good work!

 

Well to be honest the Gaming and Technology pages are a mess, and as soon as I remake all the categories which will be more a long the lines of by console/system instead of those 3, I will make a new gaming page that is graphical and much better looking.

By size do you mean the whole width of the site?

Or did you mean the monsters size?

 

I like it. I think that you should make the edges of the red guy better (more smooth), it would be better if you replaced him with a famous computer character or a monster for res evil or something. I like the clarity.

You know, that is great site that loads quick and is easy to navigate. I'm not to fond of that graphic on the left top. Kinda of distracting.

I guess the creature on the side is a hit or miss for most people, some love it, and some hate it. But it makes the site unique in a way.
