I've been on amazon for 2 months and so far, no sales. What seems to be the problem? I've put amazon on top and bottom of my pages and still no saes. Help please.

I'm not sure what the average rate is, but I think it's much higher than 100/sale.

I wouldn't be discouraged because it's taken 2 months to make a sale. It's funny because when I first started with Amazon, I was all excited and then as I didn't see anything was going on, I nearly wrote the whole thing off, until one day, I get a direct deposit into my bank account. Everything changed from that point.

Truth is, it's going to take at least a good month for all of your pages to be indexed by the search engines anyway. Now, if you've been doing good seo practices, you'll start seeing traffic landing on your amazon pages. Once that happens, you're good to go.

What ever you choose to do, don't remove the amazon content, you might be plesantly surprised one day.

I have over 2 dozen amazon websites, and together they pay the bills for the 2 dedicated servers. Approx $450-500 a month. But zero maintenance, can;t hurt. Right ?

The big question how many hits by major bots have you received? Sometimes it can take a while to get a deep crawl of all your books.

The best way is to get some links pointed to it, and then it;s just a matter of a few days when your website gets deep crawled.

What sort of links are you using? I doubt having a big amazon banner is going to do much... everyone knows about amazon. It is much better to have links to specific products.

How about creating some sort of Amazon tool/resource? Like a price alert website, but in order for them to use it they have to type in the ASIN (or ISBN for books) of the products they want alerts for. Then have a nice Amazon search box where they have to type in the name of the product to find the ASIN. That way possibly every visitor who goes to your site has to go to Amazon somehow... You get 1000 visitors, and they all go to Amazon's site? Say 100 of them puts a product into their shopping cart everyday, you get close to $1000 everyday. WOOHOO! You're rich!

Well, if you can make a script that helps a really big bunch of people, make it so it's going through your affiliation link, then great, there's plenty of money that can be made that way. I'll start coding that [someday].
