Could someone please explain me what is LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing)? I have Googled it only to find all Latin and Hebrew. Please explain it in simpler language.
Also how I can use it for better SEO?

Any reply will be much appreciated.

Thanks Sem-Advance, for your reply. I have seen the wiki page. But the things written there went well over my head :)

    I wanted some simplified version.

It basically means using synonyms and related terms rather than being repetitive with the same keyword.

SEOBook has a good post that may explain LSI better.

Google does not use LSI at the moment. They don't have the capacities for that.

There are several articles on Associated Content that explain LSI in simple terms. Yuwanda Black has an excellent article about it here.

I know Google is using it -- a lot -- but I don't think Yahoo or Ask.com are putting an emphasis on it.
