Hiii DP, Anybody can give me an idea about Google's Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) Algorithm... -Sumesh
LSI is the Acronym of Latent Semantic Indexing, also known as Latent Semantic Analysis. It is a kind of Information Retrieval (IR) which switches the current lexical functioning of every search engine to a semantic one. In this kind of indexing, it is possible that a query returns results which do not contain the keyword or the keywords serched; without any doubt this is the future of searche engines; rumors say Google is hard at work at LSI and a 'proof' is that searching on Google with Latent Semantic Indexing u van view an adword about Google hiring. How's its algorithm? I have no idea.
There is a huge amount of rather sophisticated and detailed information available. I suggest that you use Google search to find LSI information. /*tom*/
Recently found a writing on LSI Algorithm.... this is very interesting more over informative!!!! Check it!!! http://www.seobook.com/archives/000657.shtml
Google does not use LSI. Those who think that Google uses LSI are unfamiliar with the mathematics of Latent Semantic Indexing, which is well defined. - Michael
Infact, LSI is the technique which you can write content in a unique way and reduce your repeted keywords and information.
I can find out some information about LSI, LSI is a patented information retrieval method… LSI using statistical algorithms …… LSI can retrieve relevant information even the information doesn’t have any words in the search query….. LSI helps to improve search result in a vast amount. (Up to 30%) So I strongly believe that Google uses LSI………
There are some people who believe that they have been abducted by alien beings from another planet. However until there is credible supportive evidence for an abduction it is more reasonable to believe that these people are deluded or frauds. It is the same with Google and LSI, where is the credible supportive evidence? - Michael
