What is considered a low cost per word pricing for copywriting, and where do you find people who offer these rates?
Lowest is almost always not good. Any bidding site like scriptlance, elance and such will do in such a case. Just post your job and take on the lowest bidder. Don't say I didn't warn ya though.

You can get them extremely low, I myself only charge $.015 a word. Usually for just basic articles it's good to have $.02 a word, but I have to agree that those who do less than $.01 or even $.01, might not give you exactly what you're looking for.
