is this true for anyone else? my # of clicks increased substantially from january but the cpc went down quite a bit :-/
there are a few other threads about this. But Yes, I have seen tons of the famed '3 cent clicks' lately. (i.e. today I got two clicks and had 7 cents as the ballence. grrrr.. Id be better off with clicksor) Josh
I've been experiencing just the opposite. Lower traffic, lower number of clicks, higher CTR, higher CPC.
I've seen a massive downswing. I've beefed up the info on my sites and I still get public service ads. What are they doing?
Yes right across the board. I am currently seeking other ppc programs. The drop in, bottom line, earnings for me is between 40% -60%. I am anxiously awaiting the rumored Overature program that is supposed to G a run for the money. As it stands now I have more AS clicks in a day than ever before. My earnings are at an all time low I heard that G is taking more now for the affiliate/ referral program?
I have seen an upward trend in clickthrough and revenue per click. I made some changes to the appearance of my Adsense ads (fuzzy details at: http://www.aspiringgeek.com/CFXML_BLOG/index.cfm). I am thinking it may be that Google is favoring sites with more traffic and clicks much like I have seen companies favor sales staff that are performing well (send leads there way, give them special offers or allow them to try new products or processes first). I'd be curious to know if those of you that are struggling with low pay out per click are people with low traffic and clicks. I can't say how many clicks I get per day but I will say that the numbers Google shows in their Tour are not unfathonable. I'd be interested to hear if those with dozens, hundreds, or thousands of clicks per day have seen drop offs.
I won't give out my url, but I average a half million impressions a day. So, I'm not a low traffic site.
Is your site a forum? I am hearing forums are getting hit hard. I have also heard of a way to improve EPC in forum sites.
