    seems that 6k pages are indexed - I run 5 ads per page, but get a weight of 1k

    No, weight assignment algorithms haven't changed... although I think Google might be on the verge of cutting out a lot of content that it would consider spammy or duplicate (I didn't look at your content, so I'm not sure if you fall into that category or not).
