low vs. high niche

    Hello ;)
    A question I've been pondering ..
Would one get better results from adsense with a website that is one of a kind, but in a fairly low paying niche (NURBS to be specific, for those who know what it is) or a website that is similar in concept to many other sites, but in a very high paying niche?

Any response is highly apreciated :)

    That's a tough one :p

There's not that much of a difference, I mean if you have a unique niche that pays low, then you'd probably be getting about $5.00 a day from, let's say 100 clicks, but remember, since you're niche is unique, you get a lot of visitors in day, about 4,000.

If you had a high paying niche, you'd get the same amount of revenue through about 45 clicks, but you get little traffic, you get about 200 visitors a day.

So, both have positives and negatives. :)

but as you said they might balance out

I'd love to write a really detailed post, but I have a really bad headache. You can PM me in 2-3 days if you like... but here's a really watered down version:

In the end it depends on the niche that YOU care about. You can create 100 high-paying keyword websites but not make a single penny. The problem with getting into all these high paying niches is people think they can make a lot of cash with them... well... getting top ranking for these keywords is hard as hell, especially with using copy-pasted content. So, you NEED to work on something that you care for to keep it updated regularly with unique content. If you get involved in a website for making money, you might lose interest in it. I had one site I cared a lot about last year that was making me about $100/week, but now only makes $20/month since I stopped maintaining it (I sent it to parking, it was a resource hog). It all depends on the niche that you'd feel comfortable working with.

IMO, Low paying but unique will be better. Unique but creative will get people coming back for more. Remember: Low paying with AdSense doesn't mean it's low paying with other revenue sources. You need to test the waters with other companies to make sure you're getting the best revenue for your time. K. Headache kicking in. The offer on PMing me anytime after 2-3 days is open :).
