Do you have to have a certain # of visitors when signing up for adsense? They don't check your Alexa ranking or anything like that right?

No, but you will end up earning 20 cents per month... and the new policy says that they can kick you out if you don't get enough impressions

I only average 100 unique visitors a day, but always make over the monthly amount to get a check. And so far I am still in the program.

So, who knows what the secret formula is for a rump kicking.....

Thank God for AC - it's Hot!!! here in the states...

They don't check your stats when you sign up but according to the new TOS they may close your account if you don't get enough impressions. I don't know what "enough impressions" means but if you don't raise 100 $ in a few months I think there is a chance for them to close your account.

I average 150/day on one of my sites and growing fairly rapidly, but I'm not earning much on this one particular site until I implement a few AdSense tricks. Anything in particular you use? (I have my ads below the fold, I'm planning on shifting them to a navigation bar at the top of every page once traffic peaks).

The main factors they'd have to go by is clicks, impressions and where those clicks originate from. Then there's that one subtle factor - they can do what they want at their discretion.

I'd really imagine the factors that qualify sites for termination may possibly be subjective and entirely the opinion of the reviewer - more likely though they could have stringent guidelines that allow them to police AdSense publishers' via scripts. There ARE a large amount of publishers out there, after all.

An excellent point of contention, yah?

Haha... Well my site has been up 1 week exactly, and I have earned 20 cents!

I am not discouraged though. It is a new site, and the interest in the particular topic is in the very early stages. Interest is guaranteed to grow substantially over the coming months.

Anyways, I have jumped into the water with the rest of you web publishers, hope there is enough room. :) By the way I was overjoyed the first time I got a click money... Overjoyed I say.

First of many I hope. :)

Some people were approved in 24 hours and others in a couple of days.
Just blend your adsense into your page.

I never actually got an acceptance letter from google... I waited for several days to see if it would come and finally I just logged back in to check things out and I was golden. So I am not even sure if they do send out an acceptance letter, but something lead me to believe this, because I was waiting for one. :)
