I run a few fairly low traffic niche sites... The information on there is unique and often comes top in searches, but not many people are searching for the terms.. Because it's narrow field, there are not likely to be many relevant ads either if I put adsense on there... What is appropriate for sites like this? Referrals perhaps?
Try affiliate programs related to your site topic, or sell ad space to sites that are related. If you are not selling a product on your site, it might be difficult to monitize the site if the niche is very narrow. Look at affiliate programs for products or services that might not be directly related to your site niche, but would be of possible secondary interest to your visitors. For example, poeple who like guns might also like knives.
