My Belkin USB Adapater had Good/Very Good signal strength for a week after I installed it, and all the sudden it went to Low/Very low. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Try reinstalling the drivers, have you tried unplugging it and plugging it again ?

Unplug and replug it in, I know mine was like that where some days it would be a good signal and then other days you have like a very week sometimes even faint or no signal. I think Window's Utility also works a bit better than theirs and you can like refresh it. I don't know exactly what the problem may be, but I guess its at least worth a shot.

I've done all of this and also I have scanned for viruses, pointed it in the direction of the router, pointed them both at each other, etc. with no luck.

Try restarting your rooter, Turn of your rooter and modem for 15 secs ....and unplug the usb and restart pc, after that plug the usb back and on the rooter and modem.....see if it works. good luck !

    What, just unlplug it?

The problem isn't with my Adapter I don't think because I'm getting slower speeds with this computer thats linked directly with ethernet to the router. I am going to connect this computer to the modem directly and then see what happens.

Might be your ISP cheating you on speed. I noticed ATT does that sometimes where it will get very slow almost to the point of dial up. High peak traffic does that which sucks especially when you pay a lot for your connection.

No, I did connect it directly to the modem and it seemed to be faster.

I assume this is the router. Any advice for fixing the problem?

you said that you connected it directly to the router and is assumed to be fast , then that means its not the router ?

Now the signal is "Good". I don't know why really, but I'm not complaining. :)

Well, right after I typed that it disconnected. So odd... I did the repair connection thing and it went back up to "Good". So it's better, but still not great.

Haven't you read my posts? I'm not using a network card, I'm using a USB adapter.

Anyways, doing the repair thing disables and re-enables the adapter, so that's not really a problem I don't think. It's back to saying "Low" now.

About a week and a half.

I've been informed that my router is probably not the best one to get.
