I've created a new adwords account last week and made a campaign for an it jobs site targeted on Romania (my country). I chose keywords that are both in the ad and on the landing page. No joy though. All my keywords show as low quality (1/10) and the diagnostic shows the landing page is not relevant. I've done a tone of changes to it and still nothing. I need help! http://www.itjobhunt.com/ro/default.aspx?ad=adwords That is the current landing page. Yes, it's not in english but if it helps just change that language to english (there is a drop down on the site - either that or replace /ro/ with /en/). The keywords I've targeted have a good density (joburi, locuri de munca IT, slujbe IT) - they are the Romanian translation with synonims for the word jobs. They appear in the title, in the meta description, and between 5-10 times on the landing page,. You can check with a keyword density tool. I even added a H1 and 2 H2 tags yesterday that contain my keywords. You may also ask what's with the ad=adwords parameter.... I modified the script to make a "custom" landing page out of the main page of the site. That is, I didn't load the list of countries and regions for the search box directly on page load but instead populated it by ajax, so that google bot doesn't take 200 country names as keywords. I also listed only the last 10 recent jobs instead of 30, also to reduce the number of not relevant keywords. The page it's self (being the main page of the site actually) has all the required navigation, contact us form, terms of service (we didn't yet make a copy of that in english but that shouldn't matter since we are not advertising the English section yet). I don't know what else to do and I need desperate help. Google customer service only stated the obvious and gave me template responses with links from their FAQ and google web master tools. I'm starting to think they don't even read the emails.
well .. you have to optimize the landing pages just as you would with seo. One ad for each keyword too. One optimized page per ad. Keyword ********* locuri de munca IT Sample ad : ********* Locuri de Munca IT Cele mai bine platite locuri de munca in IT Landing page should contain: ********************** <title>Locuri de Munca IT</title> <h1>Locuri de munca it</h1> text containing keyword .. like "Ultimele locuri de munca in IT adaugate" .. "Top cele mai bine platite locuri de munca IT" Also you landing page sucks .. you should also put there a quick signup form for the job seeker .. cause that's what you're interested in .. right ? .. get as many signups as possible .. use google's conversion pixel .. it will also boost your quality score .. and keep you on track on how much you're spending per signup
Besides looking at your landing page, G also looks at your account age to help determine your quality score. While that doesn't make a lot of sense, it is nonetheless part of the puzzle. I would think that as your NEW account gains some creds (and assuming your landing page is okay), then youi'll begin to see your bids getting lower. Good luck, did look at your LP, and it seems okay by be.
