An interesting article about Low Quality Content and How the Search Engines Are Fighting Back against it. It discusses why some websites are being de-indexed and such. Quoted: More can be read on the site: Low Quality - Search Engines Fight Back I find that the article not opens our eyes to what Black Hat SEO happens but also to what can be done to help. ~ Mike
Haven't the SE's been doing that for ages? Black Hat will be around for some time to come. Whenever there's a hole they will fill it. Decent article for newbs, but the quoted text makes it sound like they're just starting to crack down on low quality sites. This is an on-going effort by the search engines.
how do they judge the quality of an article? base on backlinks? traffic visited per month? i was trying to add keyword related article to my online store.. for example if i am selling some watch battery..i will be posting some article about watches.. or may be how to change a battery for watches.. is that going to harm my page? please advise
I believe that some Search Engines have teams whom review pages or sites that are "Flagged"... Bad articles or content as such i would believe is "Flagged" due to various spelling mistakes or % of it that may be copied from another website. ~ Mike
That is a fair statement. I believe that all we "good SEO(ers)" can do is what we do best... BE GOOD ~ Mike
