I'm new to this community and just wanted to gather your opinions on this topic. What are the best kind websites that require little or no maintenance? I have a proxy site, www.coolyash.com, and I have a (soon to be) automated article site, www.edhut.com Are these the best bets for effort vs. revenue? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
websites that require little maintenance are those where the community helps grow the site, although these are generally forums, and probably aren't the best for revenue. Other good sites are those with lots of original articles that make money from advertising.
Well, the sites which you have got, look good. The potential can be huge, with good marketing. Especially, the proxy and the article site.
From my experience, low maintenance equals low revenue... Not saying it can't be done, but if you put in the time on most things the payoff usualy follows.
Blogs can be good if you keep them updated with unique content. The overall factor is how much traffic you have coming to any given site.
Oh yeah! Traffic from real people is worth GOLD! You can have any site you like. But it's getting people to look around your site is what you want!
From my point of view, an automated site is the best starting option, but success is only achieved if you take the time to make it grow adding content to differentiate your site from any other that could be offerering just the same
Well, as I said, it all depends on your traffic. I know of proxy sites, that earn more than $50 per day. It is very possible, and even I own many proxy sites, that give me about $30 per day revenue. So, if marketed well, it is quite easy to earn from proxy sites. I can say this confidently, because I have my own proxies, and hence I have the experience. And even article directories, can manage a lot, look at ezinearticle, they must be earning, atleast $5000 per day!! Its possible, all depends upon your budget and marketing.
