I see lots of blogs who are doing about as well as I am however they have thousands of readers. I only have 15... Is there something different these people are doing? How can I improve my count?
Is the feedburner button/link in a easy to see position, not mixed in with other ads? Also bear in mind a lot of people pay people to sign up to their feedburner too
I think its fairly well positioned. Really?! I use feedburner as a kind of guage for how my site is doing. Yes and http://www.unrealmedia.co.uk/
There's always something like this which can boost the subscriber count from a single computer. no proxies required.
If your articles are new and unique .YOU Will get subscribers with out any problem. All you need to do is to post latest stuff and advertise your blog as much as possible.
Feedburner count just relates to the blog.... you also probably get under 100 uniques per day while other blogs get 10,000. Keep having good content, advertising, etc. And placing the RSS feed and a more obvious place may help to or even on the bottom of posts write "Don't forget to subscribe..." There is no advantage to having a fictitious feedburner count (unless i am missing something)
I actually disregard feedburner as an accurate measure of a sites popularity now, as a lot of people still don't use feeds. Is very much dependant on the niche. I'm aware of blogs that probably don't appeal too much to those who use RSS, so they are extremely popular, and make a lot of money, even though they have an extremely low feed count.
