Low eCPM since one week, Anyone else?

Usually my CPMs are between $2.00-$2.50, but in last one week it had gone down to ~ $1.5. Just wanted to check with you guys if any of you experienced lower CPMs in last few days?

Holiday season / new year is over now, and surprisingly it should have gone down in holiday season, which did not happened. I'm just curious why it is happening after the holiday season?

Is it just me or is it global?

maybe just you. Holiday effect traffic a lots but not the eCPM

 

since last 3 days i am getting low ctr of 1-2% previosly i was getting 4% ctr..why its happening any one else got this problem

 

My CTR is usually only 0.40% - 0.50% @ ~ 200000 page impressions per day @ ~ 900 clicks / day @ ~ $250 -$350 day.

I guess, with high-traffic sites as mine (healthcaremagic), it is the usual case. Still, the CTR is stuck at the same point and CPM is decreasing since last one week.

I did all experiments, but still no improvement. So, I thought this might be a global case. I think, still there is something missing, any suggestions guys?

I have same issue of low ecpm from the start of this new year compared to those of last month December. Was wondering what is happening too? I think its a global issue. Not sure if big G is doing some algorithm changes. Equally frustrated to say the least. My niche is not related to christmas at all.

I dont know if its global but it appears to be happening to a lot of people since Jan 1st. I hope its because a lot of people are on vacation this week and it gets fixed by Monday. This is the worst I can remember it ever being, at least for this many consecutive days. For me its not just Adsense, my other ad company I use also dropped down to nothing this week.

 

I just compared the first 6 days of January 2011 to that of 2010, all of my numbers for both years only differ by a few cents and fractions of a percentage point.

 

Are you comparing it with the first 6 days of Dec 2010 and the last 6 days of Dec 2010? Pls advise if there is any difference with Dec earnings? Thanks.

 

Nope. No significant change, but my traffic is not what I'd like it to be, it's off topic but I wish I could have a very good idea to increase this traffic overnight.

 

My stats are very strange for this month. Traffic increased a little, ctr increased by 1 % as opposed to December, but ecpm fell as much as 50%. Flabbergasted!

 

Yes, 50% down for me and I was reading adsense help center lots of people complaining about samething don't know when it will be back though.

 

normally there is some drop during the holiday for non-shopping related site
it will back to normal after holiday

 

I earnings went down 60% from dec to jan while still providing the same amount of clicks/impressions. eCPM dropped by 70%

 

nop my ecpm is great more than ur expectation

It depends upon niche. Nobody can say exact what is the reason.
