Low CTR with same code on over 50 sites

I have adsense running on about 50 sites but my day's CTR is listed at only roughly 0.14% so what is up with that? Believe me, I've tried everything and am beginning to wonder if adsense is worth the hassle. Anyone else notice a big drop in overall CTR?

My adsense is holding steady. At certain times of the month the click revenue goes way up, but that usually lasts about a week before it comes back to normal.

Dan, I think I already told you many times that you should improve your websites, both in template and in ad placement. And yet your main site hasn't changed a bit. OK it would take time to redo your website with a CMS, but it looks like you haven't even started.
Since I know you (online only) for a long time I sometimes think about proposing you a partnership, since I already know the technical aspect and you don't yet, but everytime I am telling myself it is too much hassle for me and I don't know you'd be really up for it, I guess you would after some talk, but it would be for me time spent that I can spend on my own projects. I'd like to do it but at the same time.. Hope you understand me.

I'm sure you could improve your earnings, because they are so low, but at the same time your niche/specialization is not ideal for adsense earnings (cartoons)..

Well, I use the popular 336X280 on upper left (above the fold) only that ad to get better earnings per click plus I do blend the ad based on page color and delete the border....so am not certain what more could be done from that standpoint, but are there other ways to intensify CTR?
