    Hey,

I need some help. I hear how some people are complaining that their CTR is only 1-2% and it makes me think because mine is only .15-0.19%. Even tho someone of you might say that this is normal, i would love to improve those numbers. Can someone help me and suggest a better placement for my ads ?

My website is not new and it gets thousands of people per day but the revenues do not reflect it.

    Link

The left text link yields the smallest amount revenues and this is the first one i would like to change.

My ads match Google adsense placement table but its seems its not working for me. Thanks for your help

Better try with a rectangle format ad in your posts. The current 468*60 is not that good.
Use 336*xxx sized ad just before the post and another one after the post. And make sure that atleast one of them is image or image/text ad.
You can also remove the top 720*xx ad. Try with just two ads in the post and see how good are results. :)

I will recommend you to remove 468x60 ad and add a 336x280 or 300x250 at the end of posts. another thing you can do by adding a link unit xxx*90 beside 728x90 ad below navbar.

That's all, hope this will improve your CTR.
BTW: This is my 100th post

Hmmmm You guys are guessing or that square 336-xxx has been proven to be better ? I just kind of want some to know WHY and not just lets TRY this.

I like that 468x60 because it looks little like a title and some people click on it that way. What do you guys think ?

By the way what is your CTR guys ?

    Thanks

Man, be careful of the European Links ad section, it can lead you to the Google Hummer. (See their TOS about ads placement)

468*60 is good but only few people click on it. While 336*xxx is big and attracts more visitors.
There was a time when I used to get CTR of around 4% but now its somewhere around 2.5% with same setup. Depends upon type of blog as well.

You can embed ads in the middle of your content...

Ok so 468 is gone and 160x720 is gone too. I have replaced them with with 2 336*xxx inside the post. Hope this works !

that will work use a plugin that rotates them in the position in the post. my sites work best left top in post and in the middle.

What I mean is putting ads inside the content... in the middle of the article.... not image ads but embedded text links...

Try to move your ads to the left, reduce the amount of ads in your site to 2.

Titing - putting ads links inside a post that seems like a lot of work and i need to do each post separate. I like to just place an ad and remove it with one click from all the post.

Backlink - Do u think that 2 is better than 3 ? To me 3 is always better as it give more places to click on but you might be right. A lot of people say that "less is more". I will do that next time....

Thank you all guys for your answers.

P.S. How long should i keep those ads to see results that i could compare ? A week ? Month ? Few months ?

You would start seeing results in just 1 week. If its better than your previous setup, then keep it or else try something else. Like different colors or changing between text and image in same ad format.

Try to reduce the scrolling for your website.

Yes, the big rectangle box will give more choices to your reader to click. It will definitely help you improve the CTR.

Try to place the ads "within" the content not above or below. It would increase your CTR for sure.
