http://dailyrnblyrics.com I have a CTR about 0.30 to 1.00 percent. To me i don't think thats such a good CTR. My traffic is organic and get around 500 uniques a day. My adsense ads are both image & text ads because i believe people like too see a variety of both. Any tips on improving? Thanks .
the colors are great, placement the same. 9/10. You should add some link ads units, and its ok. ur ctr will grow with the traffic. so concentrate now on how to bring some more traffic. Good luck.
I like the layout with one exception. The image ad on the lower left column pulls my eyes down and away from the nicely placed image/text ad and graphics at the top. Right now the image is White with bright red stuff screaming I'm an Ad ignore me. For fun try the page with and without the 2 lower image ads, make them text only. Use Google's web page optimizer to A-B test the two web pages and compare results. Report back here about the results. I'd bet the version w/o extra Image ads will do better for overall CTR. The image ad at the top is the only block I'd click. Lose the other 2 image blocks, make these text only to increase CTR. BTW the three blocks served the same ad in all 3 locations just now. That repetition is not going to increase your CTR.
I would place a 468x15 link unit under this: "DailyRNBLyrics posted on: 2007-06-21 00:00:00" all other looks fine. just improve your traffic, and your should earn much more. best wishes
I have the same problem loads of traffic and did not do any promotion it just came. But the adsense does not pay that well.
From what I hear, that is a gooood CTR for Lyrics sites. And like the others say, work on your traffic. Get deep links to each of your lyrics page... 500 UV is too early to worry about revenue.
Agreed. Product-oriented hand how-to sites tend to enjoy significantly better CTRs than entertainment and personal sites. With a lyrics site, people come, find the lyrics they're looking for, and then, that's it. Their need is met. Clearly, there are going to be some visitors who look at the ads, but most just tune them out. This is not to say that monetizing a lyrics site with Adsense is a bad idea. It just requires a greater traffic volume than sites that are more product-oriented.
i think thats partly right, because while they are reading the lyrics they are focused on the text and as they keep reading they reach the ad at the bottom and will think its the lyrics for a minute. & when they realize it isn't, it might of interested them into clicking it. Some might be looking for a way to download the song also, the ads might motivate them into clicking them,
