Low CPC with AdSense

Hi My AdSense cpc has come down to x cents from y cents [down by 65%]. Is it because of smart pricing ? I have also blocked MFA sites?

    Is there any solution?

It may be because you're in a low niche, or maybe you should block some more MFA sites...

Produce realy high value content to your visitors. No adwords advertiser is fool to bid on the websites with low quality content. If you produce real content everybody wins. Good information for your visitors, good conversion rate for the advertisers and happy cutomers for google.

If you use MFA for low quality content anybody can exclude your site to display their ads. If the number of exclusion for a website is high, google will simply ban your account. This is why we are hearing more numbers of banning stories without the exact reason. I hope you understand.

I often keep in mind the quality of my websites when placing adsense, us publishers dont want to be putting off the advertisers with placing adsense on poor quality sites, they may need us, but we need them too, if they dont bid high we do poorly.

    Its worth thinking about.

It's not just about content, though.

I produce fresh content daily but my CPC is still low. It's about 1/3 of what it was when I first started last year.

Not complaining too much about CPC, though. Since it's been lowered, that has caused me to look into other options for monetizing my website. I'm making a lot more now than I used to, so it worked out.

I am a adsense publisher for the past 3 years. I feel exactly like you. Every month total earning is reducing.

I thought the adwords cost was reducing due to large number of adsense publishers. I tried adwords with content network only. I had to bid minimum 20 cents to show my ads.

I think nowadays google keeps pocketing lots money from the advetisers rather than sharing to the publsihers.:(

The last few days of March were good. I hit $7 a day. The last few have been bad. I was down to $0.01 yesterday?

Try different avenues, sell links, or sign up with a new site like WB or something different, see how it reacts for a few weeks. Never hurts to try!
    Good Luck

Yes, it could be that it is getting closer to tax time so not as many people are clicking and the US is entering (or already is) in a recession so advertisers are paying less. Mine have been lower lately as well...
