Low CPC since beginning of June 2012 - Any Thoughts?

Hello guys,

I have a cruise related website and although it doesn`t run too great, I was enjoying a nice income from him until the beginning of June. I was used to having days of CPC with even more than €1, but now those days are long gone. Since the first days of June, my CPC doesn`t go higher than €0.20 anymore. It is actually between €0.10 and €0.17 like clock work. I simply don`t get it. I`ve tried to make a little research over the internet to see if this is a general issue, but I didn`t seem to find other people complaining of the same problem (or maybe I didn`t tried hard enough). I`ve even found people who said that their CPC are even better in this period. So why others do not experience this problem?

If this is not a general issue....could Adsense placed some sort of a restriction on my website because of whatever reason?

Please share your thoughts about this particular issue.

I am not sure about your specific related theme, but summer is very slow for me, last year everything went up from september

 

is smart pricing by Google is still in place?? Search about it...

 

Either advertisers of your keywords become lesser, or they bid at lower CPC. Do you experience drop in google serp?

 

I now realize that smart pricing might be the reason. Thanks lekhi123 for pointing me in the right direction. I`m now digging for ways to improve this particular issue. Some pointers about how to affect this "smart pricing" situation would be appreciated....

 

Earnings since may in almost everything drops and it is normal as these are the months when earnings are normally low. Expect earnings to increase from September onwards.

 

Yeah, I hope so...but I kind of doubt it as for two months now I didn`t see on click that may be paid with more than €0.20. Until June I was used to clicks of almost €1 almost every day. It`s pretty obvious that it`s about smart pricing here. And I don`t really understand it why. This issue involves a niche website, not a site with general content. I offer specific niche related content. It must be about my low traffic or low CTR...I don`t know.

 

Just wait for a month or 2 more and see the result., everyone is complaining the same problem in other forums.

Mine started on 2nd or 3rd June...since then clicks didn`t get over €0.17....

Same here, getting low CPC, maybe smart priced.?
