I think this is a great way for all of us to share low cost unconventional marketing tactics to get more exposure. Here's the hypothetical situation: you have a website that is brilliant, people love it, even if you spam it to your friends/family/strangers they all love it and don't mind that you spammed them because they enjoyed your site. BUT, you have a limited budget and need very low cost/free ways to get exposure for your website. How would you do it? Some ideas of mine: - Get high profile twitter user to tweet about your site (might be costly upfront, but should pay huge dividends) - Making a tumblr version of your site, start following tumblr users so they get a "you're being followed by" message and they curiously check you out (almost like sending out an email). How about you guys? What are some 'outside the box' marketing tactics to get new exposure?
