Don't be caught up by the few dollars savings in the first year, it can add up to something come renewal time.

I don't think Yahoo even allows internal transfers. Pretty useless if you ask me.

No Yahoo does not allow internal transfers. You have to cancel something like the domain which will be placed in holding for you, Than you go to the registar of your choice to start the transfer. Than and only than you may transfer.

And the $2 is only for the 1st domain. Tough break to be able to get only 1 domain out of the deal. But that is business and is the draw into it.

Some one say to me it's not good, because you have to register another year when you register one year .

Not true. You may register it 1year at a time. But what you are probably speaking of is that certain extensions require a 2 year. .com, .net, .org and a few other major domain extension only require 1yr.

Well you could buy a domain for $2 from Yahoo and before you need to renew it, move it to godaddy.com :)

I had a chance to deal with a Yahoo hosting account for a customer. Weird experience. As for cheap Y! domains, I was kept away by the incertitude of transfering it to another registrar once purchased at Yahoo.

IF you plan to transfer in the near future, make you transfer the domain first and then cancel the plan. You've to cancel it else you'll get charged even though you've transferred the domain to a different provider.
