Low conversions

I have been using Google Adwords for the last 2 months. Here's the bottom line: over 2000 clicks and no conversions. I sell sexy lingerie and have a great site. My landing page matches my keywords, I use [exact] keywords,
have great prices and a easy to use site. Any suggestions as to the poor conversion rate. I also use Yahoo and MSN Adsense and much better results!

One of the reasons that you get better results with Yahoo/MSN because these two search engines are "product based"..... while google is more "information based".....

Until I see your website I can't give you personal advise ...
But for Google: I suggest you use a landing page with an email-opt-in option...
and then you give your opt-in-members..."info" related to the products/news/spicy gossip...
    START with news/gossip first....
If you need more help you can PM me :)

What do you mean by Great Site?
    Do you split testing?
As adking mention, you can put opt-in in the middle
of the page and see the reaction.

    Hope to help more.

Are you cutting out the browsers who will never buy? - with lingerie I would imagine you have a problem of people (boys) clicking to have a gawp at pretty girls in scanties. I think that would show up as less of a problem in Yahoo and Msn simply because they are nowhere near as popular as search engines.
I'd have a look at the wording of your ad, and at the keywords you're using and really think about whether it's attracting buyers or boys.
Also - are you on the Content network? - if so, have a careful look at reports for where you are showing.

Thanks form the responses. For anyone interested my site is monetlingerie. I have an email opt-in
option on every page. From magda: "Are you cutting out the browsers who will never buy? Not sure how to do this. I am not using the content network. Right now I only use the [exact] keywords option. I don't have any trouble getting clicks just conversions. I was thinking the problem might be boys or voyeurs clicking just to look and I'm not sure how to stop this.

PS. Adking - I'm new to the forum how do I PM you?

honestly, its really hard to tell without seeing your selection of keywords. I have a client in lingerie and I was the campaign manager for fredericks of hollywood last year. This market is highly competitive as I have already handled 2 clients in this market, but I will tell you there is some serious money to me made if done right.

You might be surprised to learn that the demographic of buyers is usually men searching for lingerie vs women. A nice little study done by MSN. But they buy, and thats the main thing.

I attribute your failure to 2 things at this point.

    1. pricing

    2. I attempted your checkout process and it is WAY... to long, and the form to create an account is very hurtful on the eyes. black background with white text is never a good idea...

    Hope this helps
