    So here is thye scenario:
I run about 40 blogs and websites. Some of the blogs are great: the second I make a post, it gets indexed and ranks within minutes.

I have a site that is a pr4, great amount of backlinks, ranks pretty good. Let's say it is http://www.mysite.com

I attached a blog about a year ago at http://www.mysite.com/blog/
I have been adding quality content for the past year.
Now, if I post a new article, it gets indexed in 30 seconds flat, no joke.
The only problem: it does not rank at all like the other blogs do.

    Anybody can help out?

    Thanks

    not at all
it is the same keywords that the other blogs rank for
the website is considered authority ( I have my reasons to believe this).

ya, its strange, I did the same thing added a /blog to my domain and almost right away it went to PR3, my domain is a PR4. Then for some odd reason it dropped to PR0 a few weeks ago, then its back to PR3 again in the last week.

First of all Google isn't AI that knows which content is quality one and which is not. It looks for UNIQUE content but not for QUALITY content. Remember about that.

Blogs are indexed very fast because of RSS. As for ranking, how do you know it is not ranked. How do you check that?

True that Google does not know quality from non-quality content, but you
will NEVER convince webmasters of that.

Unique? If we are to believe this, then we must ask ourselves exactly how unique?

How would Google judge the uniqueness of a page? Are you saying that Google
compares all menus, all headers, all footers, every paragraph, and every sentence
on billions and billions of pages?

If so, then they must do that repeatedly, over and over again with no end in sight EVER!
(in case someone changes a sentence.)

Why do people insist that Google wants unique content when right in front
of them, in the SERPs, next to CACHE version is SIMILAR results.

Actually, Google does look for quality content. This is one reason things like content uniqueness and keyword stuffing are so important, for instance.

Sounds like you have plenty of experience of Google. I wish i knew what Google is thinking sometimes as i experience the same problems with my blogs, in that some index quickly and others take significant time.

all of my content is 10000% unique, so that's not it

the blog page is pr4, just like the main website page

I now come to believe that it has to do with the amount of backlinks

I built a ton of backlinks for the website, but not for the blog...
