Lousy Conversion Rates

    Hi All,

I recently have started to compare statistics between some of the programs that I promote.
One of the stats was conversion rate.
I compared CJ, Ebay, and Amazon.
    Ebay converts at about 6%.
    Amazon converts at 5%.
    CJ converts at under 1%.

We're not talking about general banners. These are links to specific items, usually the same for all 3 programs.
The CJ links contain the merchant and price, so there's no issue of "click to see price".
My widgets are made with the Popshops Enterprise version.
The PID's are correct because the clicks are registered.

It's just the conversion rates are lousy.
Should I contact the AM's or is there something I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks!

If you would have included where you are using ur widgets, it would have been easier to comment as we'd be able to see what your doing wrong...

I find ebay and Amazon convert better because people are familiar with shopping there and may already have accounts set up rather then going to a new store they havent delt with before from CJ.

How about EPC? I think it's a much better way of measuring the efficiency of a specific program.

How do I do this? Do I click on an item, then look to see if the cookie appears in my cookie folder immediately?
