If the title of this didn't confuse you I mean ads on YPN for other yahoo services, like yahoo webhosting my case. These ads are showing up on pages not related to hosting at all. Anyone else getting this?
actually, that is a good form of "free advertising" for them if you think about it. They make money by clicking the links that doesn't cost them anything to post...
Assuming that they are paying for even counting those clicks... I couldn't care less how they want to advertise, if they are putting these ads up they are stealing clicks from paying spots. It also doesn't help the targeting complaints when a hosting ad shows up on an unrelated page.
It might be that Yahoo is using the default ad space for promoting their own services. You know, instead of showing a PSA they show their own ads that are free to them. But perhaps they pay the publisher, hopefully. If not then it's wrong. Either way, we'll never know.
