I have a lot of wordpress questions. I just installed it into my hosting server tonight and did a test page but now I have no idea where or how to go from here 1st ? - I own site ( example ) that is listed as my manager site in hosting as xyz.com and I own site at same host of xyz1.com now I want the wordpress to be at site xyz1.com but being as xzy.com is my manager site that is where it keeps showing up at. How can I change that? I am going to keep this thread open for any of the other wordpress ?'s I have - which I am sure I will have. So if your willing to help me learn this, please ck. back here for any new questions I post - Thanks PS: OH! 1 more quick ? - is wordpress only for blogs? and can I create different pages with it? OK that was 2 more ?'s It seems to me ( and I am sure I am wrong ) that it just goes on and on with 1 page - which I would not like. I would like it to be like page1 x subjects page 2 y subjects and so on..... right now it is just xyz.com/wordpress
Have to say I didnt understand the first question either. You mean you want to change the domain of the WP installation? 2nd. Yes you can create multiple pages, its not just blog posts you can make. If you look on the side menu in the admin panel of WP you will see PAGES click on that, click ADD NEW and you can make a new page. These new pages will also be added to your menu as well. Once you start looking deeper into WP you will find you can also make different templates for different pages. I use WP for about 90% of my websites now, because it is REALLY flexible and allows customers to upload their own stuff and keep a blog. Its a great product, I wouldnt give up on it at all. Let me try to re explain ? #1. I have 5 different web sites - all on the same IP, not subs domain just different dot coms. Like I own bethsdaily.com and I own usedharlequinbooks.com and I own usarwb.net BUT my main MANGER site to access everything is usedharlequinbooks.com so when I added wordpress last night - now it shows as this usedharlequinbooks.com/wordpress but I want it under bethsdaily.com Being as usedharlequinbooks.com is my manger site that is what it is showing up under - how can I get it to be bethsdaily.com/wordpress ??? These are not example sites as in my first post here - there are my sites - hope this explains it better. I was not sure and still am not sure if I was allowed to post my actual sites - so I went with the example xyz.com Hope I don't get in trouble for posting these real sites...
