Hi, I created a new niche blog a couple of weeks ago and I'm already getting very good traffic. The main point of the site was to sell a targeted Clickbank product, however my conversion rate is pitifully low. The ebook is currently advertised in the top right corner of every page at the moment so visibility is high on every page. If anyone cares to leave a comment or opinion I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance The url is http://flagstonepatiohowto.com
To be honest with you, If I want to lay flag stone, I will read and get ideas and photos from your blog then I still need to consult a contractor to do this job.
Thanks for the feedback bomboman. It's a good point. Maybe I need to make it clearer that the ebook shows you how to do the work by yourself without hiring anyone.
Nobody is going to read all that guff - and it's just as well because some of it is badly written e.g "Laying flagstone patio can now be done by people who have interest in home decoration stuffs" - home decoration stuffs? - is that a technical term? If you want to sell the ebook SELL IT. Tell me why I need it, and what money it's going to save me. And don't expect me to read through pages of tedious 'observation' on paving that looks like you were paid by the word.
If you are getting all those hits, where are your google ads??? You could be making good money off of it.
Hello there! With less than 20 words and a new banner I can boost your conversion rate at least 10 times from its current value. If you're interested, drop me a note and we'll talk business. Regards, George P.S. You would only have to pay for results. If it works you pay, if it doesn't at least you gave it a shot
As Serious Workers said, most people just don't have an interest in e-Books anymore. I mean people have the kindle, the iPad and many other platforms for reading even using real books.
Holy smokes, your front page is like reading a 5000 page book. You need to organize these "to do" topics within the website at separate links. This will give you more click thorough action also. I would design the website so all the information doesn't come up on the first page users see.
Nobody is going to read all this. Too much mpla mpla.. I think you have to focus in something smaller and simpler at your index page!!
You call it an ebook, but nowhere in the image does it say that, or what it is. It could be video cassettes or a poster. You don't say its for sale, or get more information, click here. It just sits there unexplained. Every new visitor comes to a website with a limited amount of patience. If you try to force them to figure things out, its easier to hit the back button.
Magda, harsh words but your comments ring true. Thanks for pointing out the obvious things that are staring me in the face. ummm.... I think if you do your research, you'll find that a lot of people make serious money with ebooks Thanks Carl for the input - although traffic is good, the bounce rate is quite high. I do need to be a lot clearer about what the product is.
Tell your readers why this ebook will be of help to them , why they need it, how you were in their position until you read the ebook and how much their reading the ebook is going to save them.
