I would do exactly what dmtaylor just mention. This way you can gauge the avg CTR on your site.... Move your ads into the content of your post align to the left <div style="float:left; margin:5px;"> //Adsense Code Here// </div> Code (markup): ^which will go right after the <div class="entry"> Code (markup): in your Main Index Template. If you have analytics on your page, that will help also...it's hard to figure out if your Adsense is targeting the traffic you are getting without Analytics. There a lot of factors in trying to figure out why you are not getting a good CPC. We need more stats to figure it out.
dmtaylor247 is right. Try inserting the large AdSense block within your body text at the top, as opposed to the right column.
BTW the PR of you site is 4 not 1! If you want money why don't you head down to appraisals and see how much you can get for it.
Your site is getting alot of traffic and is becoming popular, you might want to sort it out and perk it up abit with the graphics and the ads and make it pleasing to the eye. Alot of people advise against putting boxes around ads but I think it works quite well. Also you can try making your ad's stand out instead of blending in. Make them red - this colour always catches the readers attention on a page. Also the ad's might not be what your traffic is looking for, if you haven't already submitted your site to google, do so now and gives some suggestions. Or try some affiliate sites like mobile phones or something thing suite your niche. Ringtones could also do well on a site like that, its a young persons site. Gaming could also work well and also photograpy, some simple CPA offers perhaps? Did you know your site is also featured on the front page of corank? here> http://www.corank.com/
Yeah as suggested your ad placements are not correct. I rcv around 10K to 15K page impressions per day on my one site and make around $20-$25 sometimes it even crosses $30. You must experiment with your ads and try moving them.
it is against adsense tos to show your stats to other ! earning per click depend on keyword , if you have low paying keyword in your site u will earn less per click !
oh well....... time to re-evaluate on whether u want to do this out of interest or out of making from Adsense.
Its the lack of clicks that are his problem not HPK, also impressions doesn't mean that you have 1500 ppl coming to your site in a day, this could also be robots triggering the ads, open an analytics account and track your UV. Adsense alone won't give you accurate results, they will be different.
Geez...I suspect that if I were to look into your eyes all I would see are two of the letter S with a vertical bar through each. OP...it's nice to see someone with a site that actual users are using! There is no reason you can't have a site that fills both a user need AND makes money...but the former should be the main intent, for with that (and some good optimization) the latter will come naturally.
