I agree with Bob M. Spammers and hackers alike get paid to stay one step ahead of the web developers, so even though we get these updates every month say that they have new security to block spam, the hackers learn how to bypass these. Its a simple con of email. As long as email is living, spam will be there.
Many of them make up hundreds or thousands of e-mail addresses and send. I know this because the ''to'' section do many times have a long list of e-mail addresses alphabetically organized and very similar to mine. Clearly made up, by a software probably. And yes, my Yahoo! account is receiving tons of spam nowadays. Yahoo! is doing way worse than say a year ago when it comes to spam.
yahoo mail is the worst,. ZERO support, and they sell your email add to outside adverts...sux. Im about to dump em and go back to POP.. i just used them to act as a firewall to my machine..and it works...no viruses at all in 8 yrs
because i run many business on the net my email acccount is full everyday, even though most of the unwanted emails go to the junk folder i find alot of emails that i need also in the junk folder forcing me to have to check through hundreds a day
I receive a lot of spam in Yahoo! mail but all of it is in the Spam folder! So, it's not much of a problem...
Yahoo spam filter has improved much since only a few spam mails stray from the bulk folder to my mail inbox.
I get a couple hundred spam a day with yahoo, only 1 or 2 get by the filter for me so I dont complain about that.
Yahoo seems to block real mails.... and that sucks for every webmaster... However, spam gets thru... Their support sucks big time!
I got 40 - 50 spam messages a day on my Yahoo mail. Every day I tweak the spam filter, but with no results.
I have 1000 emails in my bulk folder in the yahoo mail. I stopped logging in my yahoo mail because it's digusting. Sometimes I get real mail in the bulk folder and I never get to read it.
Best way would probably be to keep that account for registering and stuff, and make a new one specifically for friends or official stuff.
yes, there is a good way to filter it. using gmail most of the spam mails are going to spam folder on gmail
