Lots of searches on the topic, but also lots of competition -- Good idea still ?

    Hi all,

The situation is as follows :
I have decided to develop a blog on a certain topic. I've done some keyword research and this has made me see that the topic is searched by alot by the websurfers. On the other hand, the topic has alot of competing pages too ...

Now I know that it's the best to have a topic with alot of searches and least possible competition... The point is that eventough there's alot of competition on the topic, it's IS exactly the topic wich I know alot about and wich is my passion ...

The question however still haunts me ... Since there's alot of competition, and eventhough I specialise and like the topic... Can it still be worth it to start the blog in regard of revenue generation ?

    Regards,
    -FOP-

If you believe that you will succeed, why not ? Trying does not hurt, especially not in a niche about which you are passionate.

If the keywords are having lots of search then you can earn definitely. But for that you have to work hard and hard to earn the revenue like thats sort of competitive keywords.
Anyway; wish you all the best....:)

The main question is, are you committed to the project and do you know enough about it to generate or source quality and unique content for it?

Ya competition is growing day by day but you have to chase it. Its harder to get your bog in a good rank.

Go for it! If you are passionate about the topic the hard work you put in won't be so bad. Plus you could probably write some great content since you know about the topic so well. That means there is a great deal of potential for getting links to you site = beating out the competition. Submit your articles to the proper places and make them interesting. Also as far as competition is concerned think about how much you will learn from this project!
