I learned of this forum through a writers' subscription service. Since then I've seen it mentioned in several places, and always in a positive manner. It is a wonderful friendly place. I confess I can't come as often as I wish. It's a matter of reading and writing for fun or profit and education.
I'm new here but a web developer attracted by comments posted on several blogs. Copywriting and content writing are just two of my business facets and I came over here to explore them on my own from a forum-networking perspective. ·
I joined DP a while ago but never I've always just lurked and never posted much. Hopefully that'll change in 2003!
You have time for creams and lotions? I'm still trying to find time for a shower today - but you've given me high hopes for the future! LOL
I used to sell recently created sites, something I might attempt to again sometime in the near future. While doing so I came upon copywriting. I had previously been a forum poster, and the potential for a large jump in pay with quality writing was appealing. Right now I charge .025-.03$ a word, which is great considering I was doing inefficient forum posts for .005$.
Well, I followed a link in one of the newsletters I subscribe to this morning. Funny thing is, when I tried to sign up I discovered I signed up already back in September. Guess I must have found it and then forgot about it after signing up. I've bookmarked it now. Bethanny
As for me I can't recall how I managed to find DP, but I"m extremely happy, I did. Anyway he who seeks always does find. Now I can see a great many links pointing to DP (surely after finding out many important things here), so it's easy to discover this great web community if you want to. Or maybe know where to? Best of luck guys in 2008 and huge copywriting income! (Jenn, thanks for the super article on copywriting fees
i am new, about three days to this site, and I must say I love it here. Already got a couple of regular jobs as well, so no complaints there. I have worked for a few years in non web based copy writing, and I am also a stay at home dad (or as my wife likes to call me housebitch), due to this lifestyle change, I am now actively seeking free lance stuff. I specialize in Finance/Business and Tech stuff as well as media commentary. I love it and want to learn more, are there any other sites which are good, a friend recommended this site.
I stumbled upon this site while looking for...jeez I don't even remember what I was looking for. I know since I've gotten here I've learned about Google voucher trading, gotten a couple of domain names appraised, realized there's real money in web development, and decided to become a freelance writer. Granted, I know nothing about writing but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Hopefully I can find a niche for a clever guy with a unique vocabulary and a penchant for rambling about topics in which I have little or no experience. This seems like a nice community and finding a way to make my hours spent on the interwebs profitable will certainly get the monkey off my back. Man I wish she'd sell that damn monkey...or at least trim his nails.
I joined this site ages ago when I was doing a forum management job looking for paid posters. I'm no longer doing that gig but enjoy networking with other freelancers in some other forums and wanted to have the ability to post and advertise my services
Hi there! I found my way here on a thread over at WF that was talking about selling websites. I popped on over there out of curioustiy...wandered around a bit and found this forum for writers. From my brief glance, it seems like I found home
Wow, this is the largest amount of women that I have seen in one thread. Who knew? Good luck ladies (and gents)!
