Lots of MySQL errors with BANS :-(

I bought the BANS script yesterday after reading about the success a lot of people have had with it, but I'm running into a lot of errors with it. I got it installed and setup, but after I add the ebay category I want (or other categories), I get these MySQL errors on my site:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /cont/Mysql.php on line 146

I've tried setting it up with MySQL 4.1 and MySQL 5.0.

Does anyone know a solution for this error?

Are you sure you uploaded the database for the country you are using from your BANS folder? If you have it in your public_html folder, then you should ask this question on the BANS forum. I have never had that problem, but I have seen it mentioned on the forum.

    Hello bigmeep,

From what I can tell the errors you have mean that the database hasn't been imported correctly.

One of my support staff has just responded to your support ticket, please reply to that.

    Thanks,
    Kelvin

It might be best to ask this in the BANS forum, as there are a lot of BANS users who are experienced helping each other out when these kinds of problems come up...

OK, I just now realized that Kelvin from BANS already took care of it, but make sure to go to the BANS forum to ask any BANS related questions.

It seems you didn't load the database, not upload, but load. Or maybe the database is created, but not the tables or data that is needed.

I thought I would follow up on this in case anyone else runs into the issue. Basically the problem is with GoDaddy and the way they have their hosting account and mysql servers distributed. I don't know if they have some kind of throttling or what not going on but it causes the site to spit out these errors because the connection times out.

I switched over to Hostgator on the advice of the BANS support staff and I am very happy with it. The software works great, the Hostgator account works great, and the BANS support is second to none, they helped me out on a Saturday no less.

I've got one of my BANS sites out there now and am working on a half dozen more. I'm really happy with this script, well worth the money IMHO.

...even after deleting in HostG. files.

    Thanks for the help!
