I have a website in the Netherlands and in my adwords campaign i have a lot of impressions and good CTR% around 5%. On my English ads i have lots of vieuws (i only bid on exact match at the moment) but no clicks. I split tested 5 ads but its not working.. 18,336 impr. 138 clicks 0.75% CTR% Any suggestions?
Usually that means one or both of two things. 1. Your ad copy is not that good 2. The keywords aren't very related to the ad. make sure the title in the ad copy contains the keyword(s). if you have multiple keywords for one ad, lift out the keyword that is performing the best and write two new ads for that for split testing.
As suggested above: check if your campeign is for content and search. also - where do your ads rank? do you use Position preference so that your ads won't be displayed on the 5th SERP? As someone mentioned, some ads won't be translated very well from LAN to LAN - kind of "lost in translation" thing, so it's possible that the same parametres are working fine in one language and lousy on the another. i would definitely sugggest not to work with that law CTR, it will hurt your future CTR, as Google calculates your past "grades". One more thing - you can always use the 3 differnet KW matches in order to gain more info.
