Lots of clicks, no one staying on site...

I am having an issue with my adwords campaign. I have gotten a decent amount of clicks, but I have noticed with my own website tracking tool that the users who click on my google adwords ad are not staying on my site. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I could do to improve the CTR? I have customized a landing page related to each group of keywords and tried to make the list of keywords specific to each topic to attract the right group of people, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What do you mean by "not staying in your site"?
Is it that they're not returning to your site frequently or..?

    Here are some quick tips:

    1. Choose perfect keyword. Means which are exact related to your service. (Use wordtracker to search the exact keywords).

    2. Before start adword campaing, study first the about the bidding of your keywords. But also check it accordingly that your ads should come top-3.

    3. Just wait, take some time.

    4. If you are newer to adwords then please study properly the affiliates market.

    HOPE YOU WILL WIN.

    thank you
    love you

If people are clicking on your ad, but not staying on your site - either the problem is on your site
    and/or
your ads are giving people the wrong impression of what they'll find there.

This issue can't be summed up in a few sentences, I mean what is your site about, how is it designed, does it load slow, etc, there are so many variables there isn't one answer to this. From the adwords end of things, make sure you're only showing the ads to people from the correct countries / regions, other than that it probably has something to do with your website.

Yea, I agree. If the load time and back office stuff is tight, then it is your accuracy of your content relatives to the adwords. Are you providing good enough content on your site?

Sounds like your page loading time could be an issue. If it's taking too long your visitors could just be bouncing. Run a report and see what keywords are triggering your ads. You may need to refine them if they're too broad as searchers could be coming to your page thinking it's offering something else. Same goes for your ads, see if you can re-write your ad copy and qualify your clicks better.

Google's traffic quality has diminished for me - maybe the competition are killing me off but times are tough

Why not you try to improve your content of your site? Probably visitors found that your content is not quality enough and doesn't provide them the info that they are looking for, that's why they are not staying at your site for long enough.
