Lots of bidders in adwords but zero bidders in overture!

I thought that people who opt for adwords, go for overture ppc also, but i was surprised to find that for certain keyphrases there are no biddings in overture but lots of advertisers in adwords, and let me add that most of these are high traffic keyphrases in excess of 1 million searches (i have checked with overture tool itself). Any idea as to why people may not use overture ppc for certain keyphrases?

I have found that Overture's approval process is a series pain in the rear. Maintaining relevance is one thing, but they take it a step further. Google is much more permissive.

I used to have ads in Overture and I went crazy trying to keep them happy. Every ad I posted they found a problem with it. They assigned a rep to me and he disliked everything I did. I was able to find similar ads to mine and would show them to him and he wouldn't care. Then the ads that did get accepted had to really show results to stay listed. It was like a full-time job trying to create ads that my rep would approve and then make sure they were had a high CTR. I finally quit it altogether.

my be because for certain keyword types you expect response from google but overture inventory hardy shows up searches for them, thats why bidders avoid bidding on them in overture.

I agree. Overture(now yahoo) has too much troubles with their ad approval system. For a single ad, you have to go through submit, reject, modify, re-submit, reject again, email the rep asking why, wait 72 hours(if lucky), get a ad guideline link, read it again, still don't get the "why"...

Then comes the question: quit it or start all over again?
