For one website of our client which was having troubles since last two months, we saw the pages jump from 500 to 10, 200 on June 17 10,200 to 8500 on June 18 8500 to 5400 on June 19 and i checked the data on more than 20 datacentres using way2seo datacentre check tool I am again as to why google isnt able to manage all this. Same's happening to me look at this thread I made yesterday. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=97605
not a good thing at all i think Google doesnt want webmasters to check their site rankings and is trying to confuse them a lot. And this is worse for those who are working as SEO
This is because Google rollback there indexes. You will see this continually for about first one or two years.
Yes you are right the rankings are changing again I noticed my site was moving all over the place - but it was also obvious that google havent indexed the site for ages as they were carrying alot of 404's So I will have to do something on the XML site map Actually Im not really one for bothering too much with the search engines I have some sites that get listed even when I dont try and list them, and other sites they keep kicking out - so most of the time its not worth the wasted time Most of the small guys I have come across on the net who making over $100,000 a year - they dont bother with google at all They just say hey why do I need google!! They concentrate on building theirs liists, writing articles participating on forums I have to say google/search engines have never done anything for me - so I dont waste any time on them If they want to list me fine - if not forget it!!
you call these ppl as small guys "Most of the small guys I have come across on the net who making over $100,000 a year - they dont bother with google at all" i think there would be only 5 % of members on DP earning above that from their websites
