Hey guys, I've been into internet marketing for about 1 month now..only doing CPA and I'm tired of it. I'd like to focus on Adsense and clickbank only but I'm so confused I've tried searching but could not find anything..can someone answer these questions. Why does everyone refer to ezinearticles? What is it used for? Why do you submit articles? How do back links work and what exactly do they do to your website? I know these are basic basic basic nooby questions, but everyone started some where and I basically want to start from the bottom..
Hi Closed, Its ok to feel lost at the beginning. With all the different ways to make money and all the information being thrown out there, its really hard for a newbie to get focused. 1. Ezinearticles is used to generate traffic and backlinks. Ezinearticles has a page rank of 6, so Google places a high value on the content of Ezinearticles. This is why you will often see articles which are on Ezinearticles listed on the first page of Google's search results. The people who browse the topics on Ezinearticles can also find your article and click through to your site where your money product is, thereby generating traffic AND sales for you. 2. A backlink to your site is a vote for your site in Google's eyes. A good ranking on Google = keyword optimized content + backlinks. In simple terms, if Google sees a link to your website on another website, Google counts that as a vote for your website as a place to find good information. If your backlink makes use of your keyword as anchor text, thats even better. If the site where your backlink appears has a page rank of 3 or higher, thats a good quality backlink. You can get backlinks to your site by submitting articles to article directories like Ezinearticles, by posting links to your site on social bookmarking sites like Twitter and Digg, by posting informative comments on blogs and forums, etc. I hope that explains things for you
Wow, I really appreciate you took the time and wrote this..I now understand why so many people about "articles". I really want to get into IM but it's just overwhelming there's so many things to sections of it. So basically if I were to promote "x" a clickbank product. I'd need to get a blog write a 200 word article on "x" submit it to EZINEARTICLE. Submit my blog on bookmarking sites..get a twitter try to target specific people who are interested in "x" then advertise my website. After doing much reading about IM that's what I see most of the people doing.
That's about the gist of it. However an effective article is usually closer to 500 words, and it must be keyword optimized. As in, if your product is cat litter that never needs changing, your keyword would likely be 'best cat litter'. You'd want about 10 instances of the phrase 'best cat litter' in your ezine article, as well as making that the title of the article. Sounds simple but it takes practice to write articles like this that sound normal and not like useless filler surrounded by keywords. There are also tons of article writing services out there if writing isn't your forte. Also, you should have a good amount of written content on your site. An acceptable amount is 10x 500 word articles. Many directories & search engines won't even list your site without enough actual content. Good luck with everything!
Thanks!!! I wish I would of knew this before I bought my useless domains. Right now I'm looking for a decent niche on clickbank and searching how much competition it has using Google keyworld tool. Then plan on buying a domain and installing Wordpress and putting on 10 blogs x 500 words then submitting the articles on all the article directories I know. If I get some leads with it I'll buy some sign up for AdWords. Is there anything else I should know?
AdWords is expensive, if it were me, I'd wait until I got some search engine traffic (this could easily take 6mths+) and see if your content is converting those people. Track everything with google analytics and make sure adwords makes sense financially. On my site, I know that out of 1000 visitors, only about 0.25% actually sign up for a particular affiliate program, and while I try to get that higher, I'm not going to spend 1000 clicks on Adwords at $2.00 per click when my referral revenue is only $50 per person. Run the whole operation like a major retailer would. Track everything. Try to maintain a profit margin. Your work will pay off, but it will definitely take some time.
Thanks pyneonline. I tried to get this answers searching but couldn't find anything. I'll stick to clickbank and adsense.
