Reinstall your sound card drivers ;) It will help a lot ! If it will not be ok after reinstalling, then you need to check if your sound card input is ok ( not crashed ).

Ok the sound card input is fine! Because whats strange about this is that if i open up the program fruityloops ( Music Production Software) i can hear sound.

When i did open it up there was an error about the sound but i just went to settings and chose my sound card and all is fine.

But everything else has no sound.

Still sound and audio devices says the is no auio device!

If i try and use media player there is an error because there is no audio device!

I tried removing the sound card and reinstalling it! no difference.

I thought this could be a virus not sure though!

I downloaded avg virus remover! scanned, found a few things. But it didnt remove some adware stuff! this cant be the issue can it?

This is really annoying i want to watch and "HEAR" Bourne Ultimatum

Reinstall your drivers. If it says there is no audio device it means that its not picking up your sound card.

When trying to reinstall it said the device is already installed, so it knows the sound card is there! It must be some kind of virus!

I think you should first check all possible settings and then reinstall its drivers. If even then you dont get any result then ask some professional help. DOnt go for opinions from here... :)

Did you install any new driver? If you are on a PC, just system restore back to when you had sound and don't make the same mistake twice.

If that doesn't work, simply pop a new sound card in!
