Hi everyone, I am talking about my sites that were all on the first page, first in organic. I didn't change anything, didn't do anything new in the last week or so.. Yesterday there were all the same-first page , first in organic 9 of the sites are8 months old, 3 are 1-3 months old I host all of them on the same hosting company but 2 different accounts If i search www.mywebsite.com then it is on the first page first in organic, if is search: site:www.mysite.com i see all the indexed pages I checked all different keywords for all 13 websites and cannot rank for any Everything was fine yesterday, didn't even see change in serp by even 1 spot down...everything perfect This morning all gone ..My local listening used to be blended with my organic, now it shows just the company name, not blended... My competitors stayed intact I have a blog through wordpress and that is only domain that is not associated with my hosting company and the blog didn't lose any rankinks whatsoever.. Called hosting company and they said they didnt do any updates etc...or server changes It seems all the websites i built from August are experiencing the issue and websites i built in june are all intact Any ideas?? Could it be because they all have same ip and not unique c class ip? I have around 20 domains in same hosting lpan all for same keyword but different city
I've got lost a couple of keywords ranking too. And I found out this link telling the possibility of an update happened last week: http://www.seroundtable.com/google-easter-update-14985.html I guess some websites also have the similar website activity changes this week.
I heard tell of another Google update. That could be the culprit. Hope you get it worked out. Good luck.
So if understand you correctly your sites where in the no.1 page for a given keyword and then all of a sudden drooped and disappeared completely except from the “site†and “info†queries. Is that correct?
Hi zeza1609. I got a feeling those sites are all copy. You do state each one targets a different city's with the same keywords -- "all for same keyword but different city". Then that explains why all of the sites lost their rankings. They simply caught up with you and nailed all the sites for copy. You should have used canonical on those sites, that would prevent copy issues. Or even better, 301 redirect all sites to one site and only have one site. You don't need a site for each town!! Without URL,s I'm naturally only speculating Regards, knysna.
And not to forget, in March alone their were 50 new algorithm updates and a Panda 3.4 roll out. Matt Cutts also announced an overly SEO penalty specifically targeting sites that over optimized, an attempt to "level out playing fields"
Any warnings in webmaster tools? check if you have a link penalty warning. If it's not sorted within a few weeks I think your site can disappear.
thats what happens when you invest in low quality backlinks from fiverr and the likes most of the times. I don't know if thats your case but from what i gather around forums google has a pretty agressive tactic for those that tried to rank "un-naturaly"
[h=1][/h]I agree with others, check for messages on Google webmaster tools. Hope you work this out, good luck.
Were all the sites copies? We just finished with an SEO company that unknown to us were posting spam on our behalf, I'm sure it will come back and bite us.
You need to just inform the google about your site and they will do check it via webmaster panel if you need your website is worth for user to read and get satisfied..
This does happens time by time, i suggest, you add some fresh and unique content to your sites, and send some quality backlinks to your site, hope it will help your keywords to restore its previous position.
Hi zeza1609. Maybe you were a victim of innocents. Meaning their seemed to have been a bug in the system (around 3 days ago) The latest Google bug has however been fixed, and people who were affected have returned to their previous rank. Matt Cutts, head of the Webspam team and Panda wrote the following on Google+ after crashing peoples websites..... “The short explanation is that it turns out that our classifier for parked domains was reading from a couple files which mistakenly were empty. As a result, we classified some sites as parked when they weren't. I apologize for this; it looks like the issue is fixed now, and we'll look into how to prevent this from happening againâ€. https://plus.google.com/109412257237874861202/posts/BBDZDq3a5DR
Hi zeza1609, you have different hosting from different city so that is why all the keywords are in ranking.
